Infosys: No Decision Yet on Replacing Nilekani

BANGALORE -- Infosys Technologies Ltd. hasn't yet decided whether to replace Nandan Nilekani, a board member and co-chairman of the software exporter, who has resigned from both the posts, its chief executive said Friday.

The federal Cabinet Thursday appointed Mr. Nilekani, who will leave the company July 9, as the chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India.

"Infosys has depth of leadership and also a succession plan," Kris Gopalakrishnan told reporters on the sidelines of an industry summit.

"Nandan was involved in some brand initiatives as well as customer interactions as part of the board. His roles will be distributed among other members of the management," he said. link....
